Our Staff

The leadership of Nazarene Way Church is modeled after the structure of the original Jerusalem Church, which was founded after the death of Jesus the Nazarene. That first assembly was guided by three leaders—James the Just, Peter (Cephas), and John—known together as the Three Pillars of Jerusalem.

In the same spirit, Nazarene Way Church is led by its own Three Pillars, a council of three devoted leaders who guide the mission, growth, and spiritual direction of our community.

Rabbi Scott Scheper — Founder & Spiritual Leader

Rabbi Scott Scheper is the founder and guiding teacher of Nazarene Way Church. A successful leader, writer, and entrepreneur based in Orange County, California, Scott has spent nearly two decades inspiring others through his writing, scholarship, and teaching. His lifelong dedication to the study of First-Century Judaism and early Christianity led him to establish Nazarene Way Church in 2024—a community devoted to restoring the original faith and religion of Jesus the Nazarene.

Scott’s mission is simple yet profound: to call believers back to the authentic Way—to the love, devotion, and compassion that defined the earliest followers of Jesus.
